London Bridgecommunity guide

Easy walks

Two short, mostly flat routes that start at London Bridge station. Distances are rough. Paths along the river sometimes close for building work, so follow the signs if you're diverted.

1. Two bridges loop

About 3 km (2 miles) · roughly an hour at an easy pace · some steps

  1. Leave London Bridge station by the Tooley Street exits and cross to Hay's Galleria.
  2. Walk through the Galleria to the river and turn right (east) along the riverside path.
  3. Pass HMS Belfast, moored on your left, and carry on to Tower Bridge.
  4. Go up to the bridge deck and cross to the north bank. If you need to avoid steps, check the route on the map before you set out.
  5. At the north end, go down to the riverside beside the Tower of London and turn left (west), following the river.
  6. Where the riverside path is closed, follow Lower Thames Street west instead.
  7. Climb up to London Bridge and cross back to the south bank. As you go up, look out for St Magnus the Martyr church by the north end.
  8. At the south end of the bridge, the station is a short walk ahead of you.

2. Market, cathedral and Bankside

About 1.5 km (1 mile) one way · 30 to 40 minutes · flat
